About me

My archery journey started when my kids and I were studying about archer's paradox in science after seeing a video made by Destin from SmarterEveryday (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O7zewtuUM_0).  Being homeschoolers, naturally, we wanted to see it in action, so off we went to the local range.  We took a few lessons then joined a casual youth league.  Before we knew it, we had a coach and were competing in local tournaments.

I spent the first tournament season on the sidelines, cheering but not able to participate due to two torn rotator cuffs.  When my PT was done and the new year started, so did my deductible - yikes- Archery Lessons were cheaper than my PT copay, so my doctor suggested I join my kids on the range; so I did!

I have always enjoyed teaching, homeschool and having fun, this was a natural progression to combine all the things I love.  As my homeschooling days are coming to a close, I'm forging ahead in a new chapter, eager to see the smiles on archers faces when the accomplish more than they thought could.
